Virtually all of the automotive OEMs we serve have embraced world-class green standards—our ability to comply with those standards is a basic part of our qualifications process.
RPR’s closed-loop returnable packaging systems are designed and engineered to optimize use of materials and energy. Our sustainable packaging design includes sourcing products from companies that use clean production technologies and best practices, including the use of renewable or recycled raw materials. We extend the benefits of sustainable packaging materials by repairing damaged reusable containers and reducing the number of containers in inventory, which reduces the solid waste stream along with the demand for new materials and energy.
As engineers, we measure and document our use of materials and energy on a daily basis. Our drive for continuous improvement includes minimizing the environmental impact of our operations, while complying with all federal and state environmental regulations. Our Greenville operations include an on-site, self-contained cleaning system that offers safe, practical water use and management. The system cleans returnable packaging products with a dual water tank, which reduces the amount of water and energy required. This system also protects the environment by collecting hazardous run-off composed of cleaning solutions, dirt and debris.
